Ms. Lucas enjoys the opportunity to meet new people and build connections throughout the Brighton community.

In the Classroom

As Brighton’s art teacher for students in 4K through 8th grade, Ms. Lucas helps students explore creativity, develop new artistic skills, and build confidence in their abilities. Her classroom is a place where students are encouraged to try new things, express themselves, and take pride in what they create.

Her Approach

Ms. Lucas wants students to leave art class feeling happy, confident, and excited to return and create again. She hopes each student develops an appreciation for their own work and discovers that creativity can grow through practice and curiosity.
