5th Grade
Hello Families, and welcome to a new school year! I am looking forward to seeing all the students back and meeting the new ones.
This will be my 9th year teaching at Brighton School and we will be trying something new this year. I will still be teaching 5th-grade literacy, math, and science, but I will also be teaching 7th-grade science this year. The 5th graders will be transitioning to social studies with Mrs. Hetland to give them an early introduction to middle school with changing classrooms. We have a new reading curriculum I can't wait to implement and exciting projects lined up throughout the year.
Besides my love of teaching, I am a wife and mother of 3 girls who all attended Brighton. Trinity is now 19 at Gateway, Delaney is 18 at Stevens Point, and Reagan is 9 in 4th grade here. I am also currently continuing my education for my master's degree in Curriculum Instruction. I absolutely love reading, history, baking, and creating new planting activities with our Aerogardens in class.
